stuck in delhi

missed my train for bangalore today. mis-read the train time on the ticket. am flying back on tuesday now. another few days with my dadi. will be making the schematic for the weather-station project and drafting a drawing of the new design of the canopy in this time.

fabrication too expensive. coming to Rs.2,400 per piece

So, I got a quote form a PCB designer and assembler. It will be too expensive to get MaxSerial made here. Much more than what it costs to get shipped from Canada.

Meanwhile I have had some success in interfacing a Motorola C168i with an arduino. Trying to figure out some more things. Will post my notes here.

trying to get the Maxserial made

I have been speaking to PCB fabricators here, to get the Maxserial made. The freeduino Maxserial is a native implementation of the RS232 interface for arduino. So it should be much easier to talk to RS232 devices like the GSM modem. Will post updates about the progress I make.

been working on Canopy and MausamChowk

Been grappling with arduino and GSM modems for my MausamChowk project.

A small prototype of my first Canopy will be ready in a few weeks.

At Jamghat, the vegetables have been growing well btw. No pictures yet, sorry. I am in Bangalore and the subzi is in Delhi. Should be back there on the 24th.
