About January 6

I am a media artist living in Mumbai. I play with text, photography, video, drawing and the internet.

When I am not playing, I am either searching for stuff on the web, searching for money, searching for a job, searching for someone to read out my poems to or searching for something else. I always seem to be searching for something.

When I am playing I am calm, watching how my breath flows through me painlessly, I am listening to music. I like to hang out with my wife, dog and very few friends. I am not very regular with e-mail, I have noone to talk to on skype, I like buying books more then reading them.

I want to have enough money to travel wherever I want, whenever I want. I like to study. In depth. Maybe that’s why I dropped out of college? But toy with ideas of dropping back in sometime

What am I working on, in this lifetime? Maybe, I am trying to understand what art means, what poetry means and what it does for societies which nurture it. I like to observe the mechanics we are evolving to be in touch with each other and the mechanics we are evolving to remain away and how they are remarkably similar. I am more in the dot org mould but respect companies which can balance profit with values, ethics and joy!

I have said as much as I can about myself, tomorrow it maybe something different, something else, something more – but those words will not know that these words exist and another discordant reality will be born.
