Time-line
- A competition for design proposals for a mobile cultural space opens. The competition deadline is March 15th, 2009.
- FIVE proposals will be shortlisted by April 2nd, 2009.
- The organizing committee and some invitees will work on the short-listed proposals and other ideas to develop the final design to produced in May, 2009.
- The first few routes along which the DOT* will move and along which it will be parked are designed by May 2009.
- The journeys of the DOT start in June 2009.
Outline of idea
A vehicle (called the DOT*) which can be parked in many different parts of the city and developed for being used as a compact open or cultural space.
One route will be defined in Bangalore, along which the DOT will move and along which it will be parked and be used for diverse purposes.
